Lake Edward Cultural Performers is an organized group of children and youth who make traditional and cultural performance through music, dance and drama. The main goal of this program is to promote awareness on conservation in the area. In addition, the performing arts helps the children in many ways, by encouraging them to explore their emotions, expand their imagination, and develop their talents. They build confidence and find joy in self-expression.
They also perform at special functions in the area, and are available for booking. Go to our contact page to reach us.
Here are a few examples of events where they participated:
- Keeping Ebola Messages Fresh Using Drama (Unicef).
- Omundere: The Power of music and dance of the Ugandan Banyabutumbi people for HIV awareness and empowerment. Performance by Akiikih at Global Village stage at International AIDS Conference 2024, Munich Germany (July 25, 2024). Click on the links below to see videos.
